Where have I been
After coming home from Arizona and taking care of Melissa's family somehow I contacted a cough. Oh yea a cough that lasted two months! drove me and Bill crazy, so nice to be cough free finally !
I have planted another garden, hopefully it will be a great one, I have planted, tomatoes, squash, onions, peppers, cilantro. My goodness my boysenberries are doing really great. I love having a garden, it's small but it's good enough for Bill and I.
In April Candice hurt her back so when Bill and I went for the blessing of cutie Ruby I stayed a few more days at Candice's house and helped her out, She's on the mend which I feel very very grateful for. It's tough have a very busy two year old and a sore back!
At the close of this school year I'm very proud of the accomplishments of my family members. First of all the long road that Jeff and Carolee have taken is coming to a close! Yippee, they are going to leave Erie, PA and head west in June . Their family will live in Frisco, Texas ( near Dallas) for one year while Jeff specializes in spine surgery. He is just a pretty amazing guy! I have to tell you that when I've been at their house I have opened up some of his medical books and I cannot even read them! HUGE words, have no clue the meaning of them. He is just darn impressive.
Troy is finishing his second year of medical school. It's been a tough year, way to go Troy.
Jake will graduate from high school and has been accepted to BYU. Way to go Jake!
All of the grandkids have done well in school and sports, but mainly we are just proud of them because they are such sweet kids, and just trying to be nice ! We love them all.
I'm getting so excited for the newest grand baby coming our way in June. We can't wait to see what this little person to come. June 7th is the exciting day.
here are some pictures they are kind of random but they are fun memories
Lyla went shopping with Grandma, but she had to dress herself!
Little Ruby's blessing day
Little Tessa wanted to be a mermaid , so this was her birthday present.
my little grand son is turning 2. he is such a doll.
We have a fun summer planned, Life is good and one more thing GO MITT ROMNEY
oh, boy do we need a new President!

A Wonderful day
Saturday March 10th, our stake had a regional leadership conference. Three general board members from Salt Lake came to visit the stakes. I had the priviledge of hosting Sister Silvia Allred. She is was wonderful to get to know. So gracious, so delightful, I felt so priviledged to get to know her. This will be the last time I was doing an official Relief Society duty. Bill was recently called as counselor in the Young adult ward so I'll be his tag along. I've been serving in RS for the last 10 years so this will be a new experience.
Here are some pictures on that day, along with pictures of my wonderful wonderful counselors I served with. I love these ladies.
Sister Joye Rockwood, and Sister Tonya Nagaishi ( my secretary Becky Buckwalter was out of town),

Nothing Better or Sweeter than a new baby girl

Today my 20th Grandchild was born.. Miss Pimentel! we don't have a name yet, but we just love her so much already. This is Melissa and Jess's 5th baby girl, and I couldn't be happier for them. I loved having so many girls, it is very special.
Melissa is doing well, and shocked at how much hair she has and how chubby she is. She's almost a full pound heavier than her biggest baby so far. All her sisters love her and are anxious to take care of her when she gets home.
I'm excited to be able to spend some time with her too. Bill and I feel very blessed to have so many beautiful and wonderful grandchildren. Life is good!
Stats: 7 lbs. 14 oz. 19 3/4 inches long Born: Feb. 20th. 2012

Merry Christmas everyone
I decided to do my Christmas card honoring our 40 years of marriage last September. Ghee we haven't changed much have we?
These past few months have been a whirlwind. We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving and not only enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner with lots of relatives, we also celebrated my Dad's 100 years ( well almost since he was born in 1912) it was fabulous. A real tribute to a wonderful man, We had over 100 descendants there to honor him.
Also a couple of weeks ago Bill was released as Bishop. It was a special time for us these past 5 1/2 years.
We look forward to seeing what the future brings to us.
It's so fun to see our little grandchildren be so excited for Christmas. They are all so sweet and cute.
I also spent 2 1/2 days staying with Joy and Rick's 7 kids while they were in Utah for a wedding.
They all behaved themselves wonderfully, but I know why you have your kids while you are young! Whew, it was so great to sleep at night in my own bed !
I'm looking forward to 2012.. seems impossible to say that, didn't we all just worry about Y2K?

Our trip back East
sneaking in a few Halloween pictures.. Of course I wish they were at the bottom of t his post but it never works out that way!
the above church is where Patrick Henry said , "give me liberty or give me death"
this is a re enactment at Williamsburg of the traitor Benedict Arnold trying to persuade the people to go with the British.. It was very moving! ( but of course we weren't changing sides)
Monticello ( side view)
Jamestown..inside the fort. Great place to visit, the museum was wonderful
Brady loves my IPOD, and he knows how to work it
Our sweet Carolee, oh, how we miss her
While Carolee and Jeff are living in Erie Pa. we fly back there each year. Besides seeing thier sweet family we take alittle side trip. We have gone to Boston, Washington DC. Gettysburg, and now this year we decided to go to Virginia again and see Monticello, Williamsburg , Jamestown, and Richmond . We had a wonderful time, fabulous cool weather, and the leaves on the trees were beautiful. One funny thing is though everyone at the hotels were OLD people on thier vacations. Is that what they think of Bill and I? But we love going when the tourist season is over, no crowds and the hotels are pretty cheap, especially when you do Priceline!
After a few days we drove on up to Erie. this will be our last time going there because Jeff and Carolee will be moving to Texas this summer. Woo hoo. Texas seems like next door now. I loved being with the 3 kids, they are so special.

Our 40th Wedding Celebration
Over the Labor Day Weekend Bill and I celebrated our 40 years of marriage. We thought it would be even more special if we invited our kids to join us at the Arizona temple . ( that is where our wedding was September 1971) So all of our kids except Carolee and Jeff ( who are in Pennsylvania and unable to come so far) joined us in doing temple sealings. We were so pleased and surprised to see that we were assigned to be in the same sealing room that Bill and I got married in!
I had prepared family names of those who needed to be sealed for our family to do. It was very special and all of us.
We all stayed at the Marriott Resort in Tempe, and we enjoyed the pool, eating out together and some fun shopping. It truly was a wonderful weekend.
