Ryan at Staples Center

Last night was really fun and exciting. Ryan was drawn to have a chance to shoot baskets during the Clippers basketball game, he was given 4 really great seats and a chance to win up to 1200 dollars. He was so nervous! The Staples Center is HUGE! Well, here are some pictures of the event. His first basket he missed because as you can see the girls held up signs and covered the basket! He moved around and got better shots. His last shot if he made a three pointer enabled him to double his money earnings , SWISH he made the three pointer! all in all it totaled 775.00

We were just pretty excited, and we all had a great time. Todd and his sons also came along to wish Ryan Good luck.

Go Ryan

The New Carpet is Here!

Well, yesterday was an eventual day! The new carpeting arrived. I bought my carpet from Home Depo and I think everything went well. The workers did a good job. Here are some before and after pictures. What do you think?

My next project is do redo one bathroom, but don't know when that will happen. By the way these are my Christmas presents to me that I told Bill he was giving me! ( great idea huh?)

A brand new month

Wow, can it really already be February? I enjoyed the rains, and now things seem to be cleaner and greener.

Our family has been busy. We've enjoyed Candice and Melissa and thier families. After today Bill and I will be alone for the first time since two days after Christmas ( I think we can handle that :)

we had some fun family get togethers, and can I say we have enjoyed getting to know Joy's new friend ????? Rick Varner and his family. They are great. Details I'm sure will come later.

I'm so ready to tackle getting new carpet upstairs. We've had the same carpet for over 25 years and it has worn beautifully through 6 kids. ( too bad sea foam green isn't cool anymore) Yes, it's long time due!

Counting the days till Carolee and family comes. I hate being so far away from them. Thank goodness for telephones, and emails and camera phones!
Happy Valentines to you all in a few days!
