It worked !

Well, not that this is such important news, but after another 3 hour session with my Indian friends across the sea, I now have Windows 7 on my computer! and Yes, it's way better!
whew, what an ordeal!

I'm so sad for the people of Haiti... but what a wake up call for all of us... Are we prepared for a major earthquake? they said on the news there is a shortage of fresh water. How are YOU doing with your own water supply?

Yesterday I canned some fresh chicken. It's so delicious and really so very easy! I need to learn to can more food.

I'm loving having little Lyla here with us. She is the sweetest little angel. She never complains she is so mild tempered. I love her and I just love all my grand kiddies. I'm so lucky to have so many and MORE to come!

Frustration

well, guess what I just had a long post all about what has happened since Christmas and it got deleted by mistake... bah humbug!

so I'm drained, I'm not repeating! but I will tell you it just goes along with spending three hours on the phone today with a Microsoft person ( who happens to live in India) and can't understand him... and my other computer still is not working...
they are calling back tomorrow with a more techically trained person... grrrrr, did I just waste three hours of my time.

the good news is Candice gave me a great haircut.. I love it., and I'm loving cute little Lyla who is here with me.
I'll let you know how much Indian friend works out tomorrow!

I'm in the Christmas spirit now

Last night we celebrated Julia's 8th birthday. We also had all the grandchildren who were in town to reinact the Nativity. This is always a treasure to see the little ones play thier parts. Our costumes are homemade or should I say, what ever we have on hand, but we have a great time.
by the end some of our little sheperd boys were feeling tired, but in my opinion it was a great production!

I got a picture of what Bill usually looks like after he has eaten a good meal. We wish all of the family could have been here.

We hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

more pictures of the trip

again, don't you just love that it's in the wrong order
gramps saying good bye to Trenton!
playing football with Trenton, by the way, it was so cute, he kept telling Grampa that HE needed more practice and to keep HIS eye on the ball!
Mark Twain's house in Hartford Connecticut.. so beautiful
an old Grist Mill in Sudbury Mass. ( about 30 miles out of Boston)
the little church across from the Grist Mill.. just like out of a magazine.
we had a wonderful trip, everything was perfect.
sorry the post is backwards.. but it will give you a little challenge to figure it all out!

Boston Stuff

okay,
the first picture is just a glimpse of how beautiful the trees were! we were in heaven!
the next picture is in Harvard... one of the old homes, and the sign said Gen. Washington stayed there!
The Old North church where Paul Revere hung the lanterns
and then Old Ironsides, one of the first ships Gen. Washington has built when our country was new. It's still afloat and in working order!
oops forgot the picture with the windows, is where CHEERS bar was. Bill loved the show Cheers so he had to go by it!

my Pictures of New England

Of course they are in the wrong order,
the first picture is the front of Paul Revere's house in Boston , Massachuetts, we went inside.
the next pictures ( and where we went first was Plymouth Rock)
the ship is a reproduction and was first built in the 1050's.. the little village is about 3 miles from where it was orginally, but they constructed it like it was supposed to be. They have actors in costume that really play the part of the people, including the Indians that lived there. The hut where Bill is standing is what the Indians lived in, the straw thatched roof is more of the Pilgrims
now on to Boston with the next post.
