2014 Happenings so far

Well, Christmas has come and gone, but boy we sure had a great time. The day after Christmas Bill and I took Kristen, Kate, Mack and Noah up with us to visit Jeff and Carolee. Oh, what fun we had being in the snow and touring Temple square. The kids had such fun together. Really the week went way to fast and we enjoyed being all together. WE love the Biehns new home but sure miss having them live in California!

Bill and Kristen drove home and I flew on to Arizona to help Melissa and family with thier move to another larger home.  They still have work to do on the home so they didn't move into it yet, but it was fun just being there.

On February 10th we found out such great news. Troy was matched for his residency to the hospital his first choice in Moreno Valley. We are thrilled and excited that the next four years they will be living close to us!  Way to go Troy, four more years and he's a full fledged Doctor!  He's such a great young man, and we are so lucky to have him in our family.

I decided that I just don't get to see my kids enough so those who could make it ( our Ca. kids) came to our house for a special Valentines dinner. We served Rib-eye steaks and all the trimmings. It was a delicious dinner and we had so much fun together. We played a game where each spouse wrote down three "unique" things about thier partner and then we had to guess who it was. So fun. We sure learned alot more about each other... Who knew someone always gets a donut and soda for breakfast on their way to work?  or This person likes to look in the mirror at himself, or this person likes to listen to "girlie" music... anyway, we did a lot of laughing.

As a grandparent you always think you have the cutest, smartest grandchildren in the world, Ours are no exception. My granddaughter Lyla puts on face paint to look like animals, here are a few choice pictures of her talent
yep, she's a new animal every day.  She makes us laugh

but here is a sweet picture of Noah with his three chipmunks that he adores

But so far 2014 is a Great New Year, We are blessed to have a grandson on his mission and another one going to leave hopefully this summer.
